Moon Mother, Moon Daughter (BLOOD)

Service Description

For ages 11-14 (womb-havers who have already started their period). Mother and daughter/child pairs (or guardian and child). Explores the beginning experiences of cycling and the phase of puberty. Explores themes of the moon cycle, nurturing the mother/daughter relationship, honouring our voices, needs, feelings, and emotions. We explore the psychology and emotional lens of the menstrual and ovulation cycles. We dive into body and anatomy review, and the physiology of the cycle. We focus on self care during the cycle and what that looks like for each person individually. These themes will be explored through group and partner activities, stories, art, creativity, hands on activities, self-reflection and open discussion. The last session will be a Pretty River Red Tent Moon Circle.
