  • Integrate seasonal metaphors, creative practices, and storytelling into your teaching to foster lasting impact and relevance.

  • Guide simple rituals, reflective activities, and conversations that deepen the mother–daughter bond

  • Understand how to hold space for emotional literacy, boundary-setting, and developmental readiness

What Sets This Program Apart

2023 Website images for Programs + offerings -22_edited.png

This isn’t a quick webinar or a downloadable PDF with vague instructions.

This is a comprehensive, high-integrity training grounded in both lived experience and professional expertise — and designed to equip you to confidently facilitate meaningful menstrual education and mother–daughter connection.

Here’s what makes this program unique::

  • Rooted in real-world experience. This training draws directly from Nikki Zavitz’s decade of in-person program facilitation with mothers and daughters across the menstrual spectrum — not theory alone, but what actually works, in real time, with real families.

  • Built on a strong foundation of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, Body Literacy, and Fertility Education. You'll gain an accurate and age-appropriate understanding of anatomy, puberty, and the menstrual cycle — not just for information’s sake, but to support meaningful, embodied learning for girls and their caregivers.

  • Designed specifically for facilitators. This program trains you — not just in the content, but in how to hold space, work with intergenerational groups, navigate sensitive conversations, and create safe, inclusive, and relational learning environments.

  • Includes complete resources and materials. From your printed Facilitator Guide and altar visuals to sample handouts, infographics, email templates, and access to two foundational digital courses — you'll receive the tools you need to deliver your own program with ease and confidence.

  • A learning experience that honours both personal and professional growth. As you learn to support others, you’ll also deepen your own understanding of your menstrual story, your facilitation style, and the legacy you want to leave.

This is a training that prioritizes accuracy, depth, and relational trust — so you can walk away prepared, resourced, and ready to make a meaningful impact.

Meet Nikki Zavitz

Founder of Pretty River Red Tent | Menstrual Cycle Educator

Certified FAMM Practitioner | Teacher & Menstruality Mentor

Hi, I’m Nikki — a certified Fertility Awareness Educator, Red School Menstruality Mentor, and former classroom teacher with a Bachelor of Education. I’m also a mother of three daughters, a lifelong learner, and the founder of Pretty River Red Tent.

My work is rooted in the belief that menstrual education should begin long before traditional sex-ed, and that mothers and daughters deserve spaces that are reverent, relational, and real. After years of working with girls and women across the menstrual spectrum — from pre-puberty through menopause — I’ve witnessed the deep transformation that occurs when we are met with knowledge, compassion, and connection.

The Mother–Daughter Red Tent Facilitator Training is the culmination of over a decade of personal practice, professional education, and hands-on experience leading intimate, in-person programs. I’ve poured everything I know into this training — so that you can feel confident, prepared, and deeply aligned as you step into this work.

This is more than professional development. It’s an invitation to change the narrative.

A full version of the agreement will be shared with you before completing your enrollment.

34_edited.png

Do you use inclusive language in the training and materials?

From the beginning of my studies, my work has been rooted in supporting women and girls, with a focus on celebrating the female body and the female experience, particularly around puberty, menstruation, and the menstrual cycle. Throughout my offerings, I use feminine language and female pronouns, and this lens is embedded in the tone and content of the program.

That said, I hold a deep respect for the diverse experiences people carry, and I want to affirm that my intention is never to exclude. I simply wish to be clear about the scope of my expertise and the specific audience I serve through this work. I do not claim to be an expert in gender diversity or non-binary identities, and I feel it would be outside of my integrity to present myself as such.

Within the ©Mother–Daughter Red Tent Facilitator Training, the language used, both in the materials and teachings, centres on the mother–daughter relationship, and I use terms like “woman,” “girl,” “mother,” and “daughter” with intention. These words carry deep meaning in the context of menstruality and lineage, and are foundational to the spirit of this work.

That said, facilitators are welcome to expand the vocabulary during their own workshops based on who is in the space, adjusting for adoptive or surrogate mothers, aunties, grandmothers, or participants who may not personally use gendered language. There is space for nuance, and facilitators are trusted to bring their discernment while maintaining the integrity of the training.

The Disclosure Statement and Licensing Agreement outlines these terms more formally. If after reviewing it you have any further questions or thoughts, I’m always happy to continue the conversation.
